The 6DX PRO from Diversified Technical Systems (DTS) Inc., Seal Beach, CA, is a 6 DOF sensor package designed to measure high rates of shock and angular velocity in dynamic test environments, such as those for in-manikin, cadaver, and blast testing. The device is 19 by 19 by 14.5 mm, weighs 12 g, is housed in a sealed anodized aluminum high-shock enclosure, integrates three accelerometers and 3 angular rate sensors, and is offered in either the 6DX PRO 2K-18K (±2000 g and ±18,000°/s range) or 6DX PRO 20K-50K (±20,000 g and ±50,000°/s range) versions. The device has a shock rating up to 20,000 g; 0–2000 Hz bandwidth, DC response; and meets NHTSA, FAA, ISO 6487, and SAE J211 practices.
