Wilcoxon Research optimized PCC421 and PCC423 series side-exit accelerometers from Meggitt Sensing Systems, Germantown, MD, are redesigned devices that are 50% lighter than previous versions, have a 33% lower profile, and operate at a max. temperature of 105°C. The sensors monitor rotating equipment and output a real-time 4–20 mA signal proportional to the overall vibration level. You can specify whether the 4–20 mA output will be in terms of acceleration or electrically integrated to velocity within the sensor; peak or rms detection are also available. You choose the F.S. range from the 4 ranges available. The PCC421 Series devices have either a MIL-C-5015 or M12 connector while the PCC423 has either a general-purpose or high-temperature integral cable.
