3W DC/DC Converters Target Low-Power Apps

TRACO POWER’s TRN 3 family of isolated and regulated 3W dc/dc converter modules cover a wide range of low power applications where space is limited. The components feature wide 2:1 input ranges, a full load -40°C to +65°C operating temperature range and are available in compact SIP or SMD packages (suffix SM).

 

The family consists of 32 standard models offering input ranges of 4.5~13.2 / 9~18 / 18~36 / 36~72 VDC; output voltages of 3.3 / 5 / 12 / 15 / 24 / ±5 / ±12 / ±15 VDC; and SIP or SMD packages (suffix SM). These 3W dc/dc converters feature tight regulation (0.2% Line / 1% Load max) with no minimum load required; 1,600 VDC I/O Isolation; efficiency ranging from 75~84%; a full load operating temperature range of -40 ~ +65°C (up to +85°C with derating); short-circuit protection; and MTBF of 4,400,000h per MIL-HDBK-217F at 25°C. Units are potted in a non-conductive plastic case and measure 0.47 x 0.30 x 0.43” (SIP) or 0.47 x 0.44 x 0.31 (SMD). Units are manufactured to IEC 60950-1 standards, qualified to MIL-STD-810F Thermal Shock & Vibration standards, and are Reach / RoHS compliant.
