30kV TVS Diode Arrays Prevent Equipment Damage from Electrostatic Discharges

CHICAGO, IL --- Littelfuse, Inc. introduces the SP1026 Series 15pF 30kV Bidirectional Discrete TVS Diode Array, designed specifically to protect sensitive electronic equipment from damage due to electrostatic discharges (ESD). Zener diodes fabricated using a proprietary silicon avalanche technology protect each I/O pin to provide a high level of protection against ESD. These robust general-purpose diodes can safely absorb repetitive ESD strikes at ±30kV (contact discharge, IEC 61000-4-2) without performance degradation. Additionally, each diode can safely dissipate 5A of 8/20μs surge current (IEC61000-4-5) with very low clamping voltages.

Applications for the SP1026 Series include protection of mobile phones, smart phones, smart watches, tablets, portable navigation devices, and portable medical devices.
