Contrinex Inc., Old Saybrook, CT, offers 2-wire DC sensors with metal bodies and high-frequency outputs in M12, M18, and M30 sizes with switching speeds of 3 kHz, 2 kHz, and 1 kHz, respectively. The sensors are available in embeddable and nonembeddable formats, with plug or cable connection, and feature a 10–65 VDC voltage range, ability to switch >100 mA, and short-circuit, reverse polarity, and overload protection. The control load is connected inline with the positive lead so NPN and PNP 3-wire devices are no longer required.
