The ADIS16488 tactical-grade 10-DOF sensor from Analog Devices Inc., Norwood, MA, integrates a triaxial gyroscope, triaxial accelerometer, triaxial magnetometer, and a pressure sensor into a single 47 by 44 by 14 mm module. The gyro offers 6°/hr. bias in-run stability, 450°/s dynamic range, 0.3°/√hr. angular random walk, and 0.005°/s/√Hz rms noise. The accelerometer offers ±18 g dynamic range with 100 µg in-run stability, 0.05° X/Y/Z alignment accuracy, and 330 Hz bandwidth. Dynamic ranges are ±3.5 gauss for the magnetometer and 10–1200 mbar for the barometer. The sensor is factory calibrated and designed for industrial, military, and medical equipment applications that require accurate detection and control of motion for stabilization or navigation.
