The ADIS16407 from Analog Devices Inc., Norwood, MA, integrates a triaxial gyroscope, triaxial accelerometer, triaxial magnetometer, and a pressure sensor into a single package. Each sensor combines the company's iMEMS technology and signal conditioning to optimize the IMU's dynamic performance. Each IMU is factory calibrated for sensitivity, bias, alignment, and temperature. The digital gyro has digital range scaling with ±75°/s, ±150°/s, and ±300°/s settings; the digital accelerometer has a ±18 g range; and the magnetometer is a triaxial digital ±2.5 gauss device. Sensors are combined into a single device with a simple interface and fully factory calibration. Applications include navigation for emergency first responders, unmanned vehicles, and precision autonomous instruments.
