The intelligent SS sensors can tie into existing GPS systems to provide temperature monitoring capabilities and feature built-in, uniquely addressed chips that enable multiple daisy-chained sensors to communicate back to a master over a single cable. The 1-Wire sensor technology allows the GPS devices and telematics systems used by fleet management companies to incorporate temperature monitoring of engines, cabs, trailers, or other temperatures and to deliver that information, with the rest of the data, in real-time over the network.
